With immense gratitude to our dedicated members and valued partners for their selfless support and to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, (Government of India), for always being our guiding light, Woman in Aviation India is delighted to announce the 4th edition of its iconic awards – ‘Giving Wings to Dreams’ which will be held at Roseate House New Delhi (Aerocity) in April 2026. Special thanks to our founding members who decided to join hands with us and come together for giving back meaningfully to the society.
Guided by the visionary group of 15 founding members, who have blossomed into an indomitable force of more than 100 today, these much-awaited industry awards, recognize excellence and help build a valuable ecosystem where achievers inspire the next generation.
In the past three editions of these awards, more than 90 women from across diverse fields in aviation have been awarded at stellar ceremonies held in the august presence of stalwarts from the Government, industry and defence forces. This is an opportunity for all stakeholders of the aviation industry to acknowledge the women in their respective organizations, who have solved real challenges, sparked change and made an outstanding contribution for a larger good, either for the industry, for the country and humanity at large. India, today stands proudly on the world stage, writing unparalleled stories of grit, resilience, innovation and advancement under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, who very inspiring said, “Nari Shakti is at the heart of India’s future.” We are not just making progress in leaps and bounds but also contributing to the growth of the global aviation industry. This success trajectory has also simultaneously led to the growth of the entire aviation ecosystem, adding more career opportunities in affiliated fields like AI, ground handling, engineering, tech and beyond. The time is right and the stage is set for all stakeholders to align in one mission, a self-reliant, technologically advanced, and economically prosperous aviation industry, through infrastructure, innovation, sustainability and very importantly, youth & women empowerment.
We are delighted to announce that nominations are now open on our official website – www.indianwomenforaviation.in. Nominations received will be presented to the Awards Jury, following which selected nominees will be invited for the Awards ceremony to be held in April in New Delhi. These nominations must be submitted before March 20th, 2026, and are open to Indian citizens only and must be endorsed by the nominating organisation/company on an official letterhead.
These Awards also mark the culmination of a series of cross-country celebrations of Girls in Aviation Day, where our members reached out to 14 cities to inspire and encourage thousands of young girl students to pursue careers in aviation and build a life of their dreams. In the true spirit of a Guru-Shishya, winners of the essay writing competition held at each of these events, will also be invited to the Awards Ceremony to personally meet and interact with the Awardees of this edition and the past. Inspired by our Hon’ble Prime Minister’s belief that 50% of India’s growth will be defined by our Naari Shakti, let us together walk hand in hand to inspire, mentor and build aviators of tomorrow. We owe this to our wonderful industry and our country that has given us so much to cherish and celebrate.
